HOPE PANTRY is a Feed More Partner Agency of local nonprofits (pantries, shelters, soup kitchens) fighting food insecurity in Central Virginia, gaining access to donated food, training, and support, while committing to Feed More's mission to collect, prepare, and distribute nutritious food to neighbors in need.

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

TEFAP stands for The Emergency Food Assistance Program, a USDA program that provides food to income-eligible clients every month. Food distributed through TEFAP includes canned fruits and vegetables, dry beans, rice, pasta, and other grains, as well as occasional meat and dairy products.

How do I qualify?
You qualify for TEFAP based on your household income and the number of people in your home. If you’re receiving SNAP, WIC, or Medicaid – or if you’re facing hard times – you likely qualify. Just ask us if you’re not sure!
